Enterprise Architect

Enterprise Architect *** SC CLEARED ***

The current Infrastructure resides in a bespoke legacy Datacentre and requires immediate remediation and relocation to a suitable alternative. The risks & issues driving this requirement include Architecture, Software, Network and Mechanical challenges and the Enterprise Architect will be required to drive direction on all of the above.

Working alongside existing architectural departments to deliver the following.

  • Identifying all existing risks/issues/challenges within HDC
  • Assist in articulating a strategy to remediate the above
  • Work alongside I&P teams to define and delivery exact requirements of CFPG IT Portfolio
  • Work alongside existing architects with additional challenges in AWS

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Knowledge of current Policing IT Architecture, Systems & Strategy
  • Knowledge of GDS Policies, e.g. Cloud First
  • Knowledge on Policing Data Model
  • Expert Knowledge of both Private & Public Cloud Solutions - including Crown Hosting
  • Experience of Architecting Cloud Based Strategies, In Private Cloud, Azure & AWS

Desirable skills/specialist skills and/or knowledge required

  • Current Active SC Clearance Demonstrable experience defining enterprise level architecture strategy & patterns
  • Evidence of strong stakeholder engagement skills with a proven track record of engaging and managing multiple stakeholders, influencing others and gaining their agreement and co-operation
  • Background in Central Government Security Principles

Specific or specialist qualifications and experience required

  • AWS Architecture experience
  • Crown Hosting Architecture experience
  • Agile Methodology experience
