MASH Practitioner

My West Midlands based NHS client are looking for a Safeguarding/MASH Practitioner to support them for 4 months within their MASH service.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

  • CAMHS experience - strong working knowledge and understanding.
  • Risk assessment experience
  • Safeguarding supervision and Safeguarding assessment experience
  • Experience working with Children's and Adults Safeguarding (mainly Children as this is the weakness)

They have identified a risk and challenges within a local MASH whereby a lot of RED and AMBER referrals are not being dealt with properly or met with the appropriate level of resilience. The client are looking for someone to come in and look at the end to end referral process and provide feedback to the appropriate bodies as this is something that is not currently in place.

With the information you will gather about these referrals the decisions would fall to you to decide on the level of Safeguarding these children and families need.

This MASH also looks at Adults LD and Older Persons Mental Health - whilst it would be good to have a knowledge of this, it is not essential to this MASH Practitioner role.

You will be supporting the Health Team - there will be a connection with the Acute Provider as well.

CAMHS knowledge is pivotal.
