Project Manager III (Corporate Services)

Our client in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Project Manager to work with their Corporate Services Department to assist in covering during a medical leave.

Program/Project Manager for Business Services

  • Actively develop, support and manage projects / activities (Project Portfolio Management) as they relate to Corporate Services operations / processes:
  • Program/Project manage cross functional CS projects to ensure on time and on budget delivery of all objectives
  • Meeting management: setting up meetings, maintaining minutes, action and decision log
  • Driving meeting actions to resolution
  • Maintaining detailed project work plans
  • Managing the risk register and ensure data from work stream leads/pms is detailed and accurate
  • Identifying issues and lead effective resolution to the issues
  • Ensure Strong Change Management and Communications within projects
  • Maintain the project budget throughout the project, ensure capital and operational expenditures are appropriated accurately
  • Effective stakeholder management
  • Assisting in the portfolio management of CS
  • Coordinating activities with CS leaders to ensure that all portfolio projects are following CS standards and structure
  • Coordinating with CS leaders to ensure projects and milestones are logged within the CS portfolio database
  • Managing the CS portfolio database
  • Monitoring the critical path milestones and managing the milestone change control process
  • Assist in managing a portfolio of CI initiatives across CS
  • Consolidating data and prepare documentation / presentations for weekly team meetings and weekly reporting
  • Preparing reports and track progress

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree (or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience)
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing projects for Finance related fields; Biopharma experience is a plus
  • MS Project or similar project management tool management experience a must
  • MS 365, SharePoint, Team Site Management
  • Strong Excel and reporting skills
  • Results-oriented, analytic thinker with demonstrated learning agility
  • Strong business acumen - Can understand the business implications of various approaches
  • Results oriented - Drives to practical solutions, processes and systems vs. theoretically ideal solutions; makes timely decisions and translates strategy into action.
  • Ensures impact is quantified, communicated, tracked and realized
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Strong consultative and interpersonal skills including strong negotiation skills, facilitation skills and ability to drive for clarity and results when faced with significant ambiguity
