Based in Co Cork- this well established Medical Device company manufacture a wide range of knee, hip, spine and trauma implants giving you experience in working with a range of devices. They are currently looking for a Senior Buyer Planner to join their rapidly expanding Supply Chain Department.

This is a Global role as the successful Senior Buyer Planner will be liaising with the company's 16 manufacturing sites across 5 different countries. Reporting directly into the Supply Chain Manager, the Senior Buyer Planner will be responsible for the procurement and planning of products produced at the site. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Create and manage supply plans for Inventory, distribution, manufacturing and packaging through the End to End supply chain in SAP and APS systems
  • Develop continuous improvement programs to deliver system reliability
  • Maintain order books in an orderly and timely manner
  • Develop inventory and cost reduction proposals
  • Participate in Global Supply Chain, Global IT and Local IT projects
  • Provide an overview of demand and supply of product lines, identifying where adjustments need to be made
  • Purchase raw materials for production and liaise with different suppliers to ensure best value of product

Education and Qualifications:

  • 5 years experience in a direct planning/procurement role
  • A degree in Business or Engineering and/or APICS Certification
  • Experience in a medical device or highly regulated manufacturing environment would be desirable
  • Experience in using SAP or equivalent ERP Systems
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
